Whether you work at the local, state or national level, chances are you spend a lot of time meeting with partners and in coalitions. Bringing people together to seek common ground can be a difficult task. Organizations bring a variety of perspectives to the table, and individuals each bring their own strengths and working styles. Making all this jell into effective meetings can be challenging. Through my work in local and state coalitions, as well as my experience bringing government agencies together, I have seen the best and the worst of meetings.
